Fort St. Catherine

Built in 1612 in wood, and finished with stone two years later, this early fort was meant to protect the small Barbados colony. It would be rebuilt five time to include new improvements and stronger features, though today it serves as a museum and historic attraction.

Situated in the northern section of St. George, Fort St. Catherine welcomes residents and guests rooming in this town and areas nearby.
