Fort Scaur

Fort Scaur was built in the 1870's in fear that the United States would attack the Royal Naval Dockyard. US troops would eventually be stationed here, but as allies during World War II.

Located toward the center of Somerset Island, Fort Scaur is on the same premises as Scaur Hill Park, and invites local customers and visitors who are lodging on this part of the island and nearby locations.
